Steven Morphew is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Executive State Director for Family Preservation Services of Louisiana. Steven joined FPS over 5 years ago as a therapist, and has held multiple other roles within the organization on his path to becoming State Director. Steven graduated with his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Northwestern State University in 2009, and with his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2014. Since finishing his degree programs, Steven has worked with a number of different professional capacities, including residential substance-abuse, private practice, community-based services for children and adolescents, and inpatient psychiatric facilities. Steven has found his home in working with individual with Severe Mental Illness, and has a growing focus on bringing this service to other parts of Louisiana who have significant need for additional mental health resources. At FPS-LA, Steven’s focus is on the provision of Assertive Community Treatment in Jefferson, Orleans, and St. Tammany Parishes.

My name is Martha Simon and I am the Quality Improvement and Compliance Director. I have been with the company since November 2019 and previously held the titles of Licensed Mental Health Professional and Team Lead for ACT Team 1. I obtained my master’s degree in Social Service Administration (social work) from the University of Chicago in 2014, and have been working specifically with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness since that time. I am a Louisiana native, born and raised in New Iberia, and cannot imagine living anywhere else! I am passionate about Assertive Community Treatment and am thrilled to be in a position to assist FPS with providing high quality ACT services in the communities we serve.
